PRE-ORDER: Lingcod Portions - 5 lbs

$99.00

Available in 5 lb shares. Caught by hook and line using the “dinglebar” method on Kat and Luke’s boat the F/V Aloma, blast-frozen and vacuum packed in approximately 1/2 - 1 lb packs.

Lingcod oil content and texture is somewhere in the middle of sablefish and halibut, you don’t have to worry about drying it out in the pan or oven, and it has nice thick flakes. Lingcod makes great fish tacos, or just fried and battered on its own with a squeeze of lemon.

Dingle baring (see photo in images), is a method in which we use one of our troll gurdies to raise and lower a wire that’s weighted down by a metal bar with jigs attached to it. Lingcod are aggressive and territorial and “attack” the jigs. We then haul each fish up one-by-one and bleed, dress and ice them onboard.

*There are 1 to 2 pieces of fish per pack. We decided to go this way because Lingcod vary widely in size, therefore the fillets vary widely. A two-piece pack makes a great meal for two people. When I’m eating alone I have an amazing lunch option the next day! A one-piece pack makes a great single serving. This our first year fishing lingcod so still trying to figure out what works best that appeals to the largest range of people.
